Calculation Methodology
Design event: 10-year (10% AEP)
Method: Site-Specific Design
Dunedin requires site-specific design. Post-development must result in no significant increase of runoff up to the 10-year event. Source control (on-site soakage and detention) required to reduce peak flows. Detention structures must have an 80-year design life.
Design Requirements
- 10% AEP (10-year) - no significant increase in runoff to receiving body
- Detention structure design life: 80 years
- Source control systems: on-site soakage + detention
- Catch-pits designed for 10% AEP design runoff
